New Publication: Fractal superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors working in dual bands and their applications in free-space and underwater hybrid LIDAR


Recently, our research group, with collaboration with Zwiller Research Group at KTH, published a paper entitled "Fractal superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors working in dual bands and their applications in free-space and underwater hybrid LIDAR" in Optics Letters. In this work, we experimentally demonstrated an arced-fractal SNSPD system working in dual bands centered at 1540 nm and 520 nm, particularly with the measured system detection efficiency of 91% at 1540 nm. As a direct application of this SNSPD system, we further demonstrated free-space and underwater hybrid lidar imaging in the laboratory environment.
