Prof. Xiaolong Hu

中文 / English

We are working on diverse research projects with focus on nanostructured optoelectronic devices, their applications, as well as nanofabrication technologies. We are currently being supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology, Hefei National Laboratory, Tianjin Science and Technology Commission, Tianjin University, and some industrial partners. We are collaborating with research groups, internally, at Tianjin University, and, externally, at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), TU Delft, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, SIMIT CAS, Institute of Semiconductors CAS, Nanjing University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan Institute of Technology, Peking University, Sun Yat-sen University,University of Science and Technology of China and some others.

Our research is mostly experiment-oriented although we also do theory and numerical simulations. We use and produce knowledge combining electrodynamics, optics, quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, superconductivity, semiconductor physics, nanofabrication, and material sciences. Therefore, students studying in our group can expose themselves in the interdisciplinary and collaborating research environment.

You can find more details about the projects that we are currently working on. If you have any questions, or, if you are interested in any of them, or, if you want to establish collaborations, please contact Professor Hu.
